Special Offerings are taken 6 times per year to support connectional ministries, as part of our call to bring God's tranforming power to the world:
Human Relations Day - January - Assists Community Developers Program, United Metyhodist Voluntary Services Program, and Youth Offender Rehabilitation Program
One Great Hour of Sharing - fourth sunday of lent - Support UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) providing essential support to bring hope and healing to the world. UMCOR receives NO other money for its infrastructure. Your gifts mean that every dollar collected for storm and disaster relief can go directly to helping those in need.
Native American Ministries Sunday - May - Provides scholarship for Native American students attending United Methodist schools of theology, also helps expand outreach to urban Native Americans.
Peace with Justice Sunday - June - Supports Peace with Justice issues globally and locally, including but not limited to human trafficking, conflict materials and war refugees.
World Communion Sunday - October - Provides World Communion Scholarships, with at least one-half of the annual amount for ministries beyond the United States; Ethnic Scholarship program and Ethnic In-Service Training Program.
United Methodist Student Day - November - funds scholarships and loans to United Methodist Students.
