Prayers and Squares - The Quilting Ministry

Prayer quilts are made for individuals in a long term crisis. Knots are tied as a tangible symbol of prayer. Our prayer quilt group is Chapter 16 of the Prayers & Squares The Quilting Ministry.

We will meet every Monday 9am to noon in the church basement, except for inclement weather and holiday Mondays. Call church office if in doubt.

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

If you would like to support this ministry but cannot physically help, donations are always welcome. Make checks payable to BFUMC and memo "Prayers and Squares The Quilt Ministry."

If you would like to request a prayer quilt, please speak to a staff member at the church

The quilt ministry here at First Church will meet Monday mornings at 9 AM until Noon in the 3rd grade Sunday School room in the new church basement. All are welcome. No experience necessary.

Many times we send quilts to people around the country who are requested for prayer by a member of our congregation. Several times this has resulted in request for more information about this ministry from their own church, and several other chapters have been formed as a result.  This has happened again--from our partner church in Protovin, Czech Republic!  They asked for our help and advice, and we were able to send them some of our favorite tools, such as rotary cutting equipment, books, pins, and our handy needle threader, along with some cash to seed their ministry.  We also encouraged them to go to the Prayers and Squares website to find out more about organizing a group. The power of this ministry continues to grow around the world!
