Adult class offerings

Sunday

“Going Deeper” will meet at 8:30 am to 9:15am in room 123 (Bell Choir room) in the lower level.  This 5 week DVD based discussion group will journey with Pastor Rob Bell touching on issues of today’s world.  Active prayer and compassionate conversation will be key ingredients. “In the Beginning” will meet at 9:15 in the Annex and will be studying the familiar stories in the Book of Genesis to find new insights for living today.  No pre-reading will be required.  Contact Bruce Stark

“Study the Bible” looks at the sacred scriptures one book at a time to see how the ancient words apply to our lives today.  This group meets 7:30-9:30pm in the home of Rich and Mary Ray.

 Monday – church library 1:00pm

 The” Seekers” book study club resumes September 14th.  Please join us as we explore the ideas presented in the popular book The Shack by William Paul Young.  All are welcome to participate in our informal discussion and fellowship.  Contact Rose Bledsoe

Tuesday – church library 8:30am

“Men with Tools” begins with a time of coffee, conversation and prayer, then offers the gift of light maintenance around the church building.  They reconvene for lunch with Pastor John.  Contact Pastor John.

 Wednesday -

 W.O.W (Women of the Word) meets at 9:15 am Wednesdays in the fellowship hall (next to the kitchen).  This gathering of crafty women whose focus is growing their relationships with Jesus, begins this fall with a study of specific words of wisdom from God’s love letter to humanity, the Bible.   Childcare is provided.  Contact Suzanne Everett.

 Wednesday – CrossRoads

Our Crossroads ministry, which includes a dinner at 5:45 and classes from 6:30-8:00, will return on September 15.

 Saturday

Men of Faith – Meets Saturday’s beginning at 8:00am in the church library.  This diverse group of men will be studying the book “The Good Book on Leadership, Case studies from the Bible” by Borek, Lovett and Towns.  The Bible provides fascinating case studies on leadership, it contains every variety of leadership style and vision, a close look at each personality reveals much about the character of leadership

Friends in Faith meet at 5:30pm for at time of worship, prayer and bible study.   They delve deeply into scripture while supporting each other in prayer.  Contact is Vicki Dege.

Various Days and Times

 Sanctus – Organic gatherings that meet in restaurants, pubs and homes for faith exploration.
