Confirmation Classes

Eighth grade students embark on a short-term exploration of Christianity and United Methodism during the winter months at 11:00 a.m. Sunday mornings. They explore their faith and then decide whether or not they would like to join the church as adult members.

Confirmation is an opportunity for students in 8th grade and older to explore their spirituality and the United Methodist Church. At the end of confirmation class, they will have an opportunity to make a commitment to the church. Each confirmand is assigned a mentor. Their mentor is a mature Christian and United Methodist willing to journey with them, provide a resource for questions and support them in their spiritual formation. Classes are based on the Cokesbury curriculum “CREDO”.
