Meet up in the Community Room for cookies and coffee and four-week Advent Study. We’ll use the new book “Advent: A Season of Surprises” by Scott Chrostek (former pastor at the Brighton Campus who now serves as at Resurrection UMC, Downtown Kansas City) Books available in the church office ($20). The fourth week, Dec. 20, there will be a dinner.
About the book: Rev. Chrostek’s devotional guide leans into the anticipation we feel around Advent. No one could anticipate the surprise that awaited humankind with the birth of Jesus. Two thousand years later, we still look forward in expectation, wondering what lies next. What’s coming next for you?
