What is Confirmation?

Every other year, seventh grade students and older are invited to consider confirmation of their baptism vows and become a member of First United Methodist Church. In preparation for these important steps in your faith, we ask youth to participate in a Confirmation Class, participate in mission and attend worship. Through these endeavors, you will explore your relationship with Christ and with the church. You will learn about Christianity and United Methodism, and discover ways to enrich your prayer and worship life.

We hope that you will prayerfully consider making the commitment to your personal faith formation and participate in Confirmation. Throughout the process you will gain important insight for making your personal faith decision through instruction, relationship with a mentor, meeting with clergy and other leaders of the church, and participation in worship and mission.
