Mike is a South Lyon native who is elated to find himself so close to his family to lead the band in Brighton.  Mike started leading worship for the Brighton Campus 11:00 service upon its launch in 2016. He added leading worship at the Whitmore Lake Campus in 2022. A lifelong United Methodist, Mike aspires to spend his whole life playing music to show the world the glory of God. He has written musicals, recorded albums, and regularly performs all around metro Detroit. Mike considers it to be the blessing of his life to turn people on to music, and is humbled by the opportunity he has at First United Methodist to help people incorporate music into their lives. Mike has studied music all his life, culminating in a degree in music theory from Wayne State University. He loves discussing music in any capacity and welcomes any and all questions and discussions about it. If a musical question ever strikes you, please don’t hesitate to ask!
